Real Conditional.
The real conditional refers to true or possible situations that are going to happen if the dependant clause occurs.
1. If we are talking about a scientifically or a standard true (a fact) then it is called Factual Conditional.
Example: If you get the ice out of the freezer, it melts.
2. Real conditional could express habits or routines.
Example: If I wake up at 5:30 am, I get to college at 7:00am.
3. Predictions and promises could be expressed with the real conditional too.
Example:
If you help me with this homework, I will pass the course.
If you help me with this homework, I will never ask you for help with my duties again.
4. Real future could be used for express advice, warning and or instructions.
Examples:
You should take a painkiller if the headache stars.
If she doesn't care about the school, she will get expelled.
If you use the the blender by the first time, wash it first.
As we have seen, to form the real conditional structures we uses simple present in the dependant clause and simple present, future, modals and imperatives in the main clauses.
